Loucks Games

The 2015 Glenn D. Loucks Games is one that can be remembered for its numbers. With 3,449 athletes registered and with more than 350 teams on hand, the Games were larger than ever. There were athletes from ten states (NY, NJ, CT, MA, ME, RI, VA, NH, PA and OH) and two provinces (Que and Ont.).

But, perhaps, the number that will be most associated with the 2015 Games is 8:42.92, the new meet and New York State record set by Mike Brannigan in the spectacular Friday evening 3200 Meter run, a race in which three other state records were set (Alex Ostberg of Darien, CT – 2nd place – 8:43.93; Eli Moskowitz of Souhegan, NH – 3rd place – 8:44.79; and Jack Salisbury of La Salle Academy, RI – 8th place – 8:56.55). In fact, of the top 15 runners (by the way 15th place was 9:18.72) 8 could be returning for another 8-lapper in 2016.

Other meet records that were set were:
